So as we finish off another year, let us go back to Veterans, their mental health, and some highlights.

First, yet another year passed where the topic of Veteran Suicide did not receive the attention it truly deserves, and a lot of that, once again, involved false information from the media, the government, ignorant people, and even from the VA. But they care about us right? Ha! I know, that’s not really a funny joke unfortunately.

Current estimates show the number upwards of 32 a day, however I have seen estimates as high as 44 a day currently, which would make more sense and sound more correct – based off the 14% increase per year. However that being said, even 1 per day is 1 too many. We need to come together, lean on each other, be there for each other, and reach out to someone when you need help. Don’t let the darkness in our minds consume you to the point where feeling like ending it all is the only option and hope to escape the pain, torment, and and darkness that clouds our mind and body on a daily basis. I know we all have those thoughts from time to time, we are “supposed to be strong and not show weakness, because that is how we were trained,” well let me be the first to tell you that it is not weak for you to open up to someone and ask for help, that’s a strength that a lot will never know.

Let us all take on Veteran Suicide in the year 2023 and kick the shit out of it, lets all fight together to get that number to zero. We are ALL needed, loved, and wanted, even when it doesn’t seem like that is the case. Support other Veterans, support other Veteran Owned Businesses, support the family members of Veterans, keyword in all of those is support. We need to support and help each other in any way that we can.

With that I will end the last blog of the year, I hope you all have an incredible and amazing rest of your year, I look forward to seeing y’all in 2023! As always, I love every one of y’all, especially my fellow Vets, if ANY of my fellow Vets need someone to talk to, please reach out to me, I am ALWAYS here for you.
