So after a couple days of rants on topics that also, far too often do not get the attention they deserve, let me try and get my blood pressure back down while we talk about my fellow Veterans again.

All too often, all over social media (the couple that I am still on) I see Veterans dragging themselves into so much freaking drama. First of all, regarding the “bro-vets” or “vet bros” just leave them be, they have that part of the market cornered on douchebaggery, so just let them have it. Call them out as you see fit, and stand up for the innocents targeted by their tirades and shenanigans, but there is no changing them. Next, we know there are those out there amongst our brothers and sisters who give the Veterans a bad name (besides the vet bros), so call them out, BUT make sure to not get pulled into the drama because that puts a target on you and is mentally draining as well. Thirdly, DO NOT FALL INTO THE DOXING TRAP. Call people out, but there is no need to dox anyone, that is when major legal issues arise, information is free and widely available, let them do their own research. Keep the “receipts” but don’t disclose private personal information. That being said, I think certain part of the population should be doxed, but that is a whole other conversation for a whole other day.

There are so many more important things for us, as Veterans, to worry about, LIKE HOW TO END VETERAN SUICIDE, and bringing attention to such an important issue. So put the ego aside, and lets get to helping our brothers and sisters who need us. Quit getting sucked into the drama traps, stop worrying about the Vet bros, do your research before you call people out, and most importantly – lets help our brothers and sisters in need out – lets figure out a way to get Veteran Suicide down to ZERO.

Anyway, that is my rant for the day, if there is anything I missed, send me a message and I will make sure I clarify and/or fix it. As always, I love every one of y’all, especially my fellow Vets, if ANY of my fellow Vets need someone to talk to, please reach out to me, I am ALWAYS here for you.
